Apply to Serve as a Brockton Councillor

The Municipality currently has a vacancy for one (1) Councillor. Council will appoint a new individual to fill this Councillor seat in January in accordance with our Council Vacancy Replacement Procedure Policy. The appointed individual will serve as Councillor from the date of their appointment (mid-January) until the end of the current Council Term (November 14, 2026).

Applications are open to fill the vacant Brockton Councillor seat until January 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

In mid-January, Council will hold a Special Council Meeting to consider Candidate applications, and appoint one individual to serve as Councillor for the remainder of the 2026 Council Term.

  2. Look for the hidden Walkerton ornament in each store.
  3. When you spot it, get a stamp on your Holiday Hunt ballot.
  4. Collect 8 stamps from 8 different businesses to complete your entry.

Submit your completed ballot to be entered to win a variety of local prizes — including gift cards, Brockton Dollars, and more!

Completed ballots can be dropped off at Joy Source for Sports, Vine Eye Care, Cook's Cupboard, Beautiful Ambitions, and the Municipal Office.

Prizes will be drawn November 20th, November 28th, December 5th, December 12th, and December 19th.
